About Time Commons
Time Commons was founded by Michael Suh as an ongoing cultural research structure. It organizes artistic practice, writing and research through time.
Work unfolds across multiple nodes. Residencies, projects and publications operate within the same temporal field, forming a continuous line of development.
Working Structure
1. Research & Residency
Based in Ottawa and connected to other cities, Research & Residency supports extended studio practice and research. Work develops through sustained engagement.
2. Action Projects
Exhibitions, field research and cross-regional collaborations take place within existing urban and social contexts. Each project enters a longer trajectory of inquiry.
3. VibrARTion Press
VibrARTion Press publishes Sealtan Writing, research materials and project documentation. Publications remain part of an evolving archive.
4. AARC · Asia Art Research Center
AARC concentrates on Asian and Chinese contemporary art research. It supports documentation, research development and cross-regional exchange within the Time Commons structure.
