A time-based residency for artists, writers and researchers.

A small-scale, dialogue-driven programme where living, working and thinking share the same timeline.

Four Residency Tracks

The Time Commons Residency consists of four tracks: Invited, Open Call, Supported and Self-funded. Each track operates independently while resonating within a shared temporal framework.

About the Time Commons Residency

The Time Commons Residency takes time as method and judgment as core practice, placing life, artistic work and research on the same line of time.

It is closely linked with vibrARTion (the Resonance Project) and the Sealtan Project, forming a growing structure of curatorial and textual research.

Duration

Short term: 4–6 weeks

Quarter term: 10–12 weeks

  • 4–6 residents per cycle
  • Two cycles annually: Spring & Fall/Winter

Spaces

  • Studio lofts or private rooms
  • Shared or individual studios
  • Small discussion & screening space
  • Outdoor installation & documentation areas

How to Apply

Applications may be submitted online or via email.

Open Call Track

  1. A statement of interest (300–600 words)
  2. A residency proposal (500–1200 words)
  3. Portfolio or writing samples
  4. A proposal for one public sharing
  5. A reflection on time / material historicity / living art history

Supported Track

  1. Extended project plan (800–1500 words)
  2. Description of constraints and funding needs
  3. Desired outcomes at end of residency

  • Self-funded Track: fees depend on duration and space

The Residency is sustained by independent artistic practice. Partnerships and sponsorships are welcome.
