RESEARCH SUBJECTS

Begin with the person.

The Sealtan Project develops through sustained research on individual artists. Each case brings together writing, documents, fieldwork, and subsequent research, and continues to evolve as new material and judgments emerge.
HOW IT WORKS

Writing and sealing.

Writing gives provisional form to research and judgment. Sealing assigns those judgments a number and a point in time, leaving them open to being revisited.
01 · WRITING

Writing as Curating

Case writing develops around people, works, documents, and field encounters. Judgment and the structure of the research are revised through the writing itself.

02 · SEALING

Sealing and Revisit

Texts, materials, and judgments are held at a defined point in time, then reopened later for comparison and further research.
